The Long Covid Clinic FAQs

Demand for appointments at the clinic continues to grow each month. Due to the specialist nature of our services, we are unable to expand capacity rapidly, and as such, we cannot provide exact timeframe for appointments.  The team will try and provide approximate time frames. The waiting list to see a GP is shorter than to see a consultant.

We aim to offer initial appointments within three months of receiving your completed clinic booking form, though this may vary depending on current demand.

Please refrain from emailing the clinic to request updates on your position on the waiting list, as we are unable to provide individual time estimates. Our clinical team is working through referrals as quickly and carefully as possible and will contact you as soon as an appointment becomes available.

Every patient’s journey with Long COVID is different, and so are your treatment needs. For this reason, pricing is discussed directly with yourself, for your personalised treatment options. Please reach out to our team for more information.

This depends on the documents or information you need to send in. Large documents may need to be shared or uploaded rather than emailed. Please contact The Clinic on  info@thelongcovidclinic.co.uk letting us know what documents sizes and we can advise appropriately.

You will need to book an appointment to receive advice from our clinicians. Medical advice cannot be given via email due to regulatory processes.

Medical advice cannot be given over email. If you need to discuss a change in your condition, please email the clinic to book an appointment. We will try and accommodate this request based on our clinicians’ availability. Urgent medical advice should be sought through the appropriate NHS channels by speaking to your GP, or dialling 111 or 999

Patients will need to provide a secure email address for their letter to be shared electronically. Please let your clinician know at the time of your appointment if any other care providers need copying into the letter.

Please do not email the clinic for additional copies to be sent to other care providers. Once the letter has been released to you, it is your responsibility to share it with your other care teams.

You can opt out of the clinic sharing information if you wish.

Please also note we do not send paper copies, you are welcome to print your letter and share it with your GP.

Our specialist nurse can meet with the school to;

  • Give them an overview and better understanding of what Long Covid is from a health professional perspective.
  • Provide support with integration back to education plan and information on what reasonable adjustments will be required to support symptoms and avoid crashes/relapses.
