I contracted Covid-19 at the very start of the pandemic in April 2020 while I was working on a Covid ward. I subsequently developed POTS and long-Covid but struggled to get a formal diagnosis although was started on Ivabradine to control my heart rate by my local LC clinic. I battled various symptoms over a few years and did not get much support from my local service or my GP and I was at the point of thinking of giving up on a career I had worked so hard to build. I subsequently managed to get an appointment with Dr Kane and saw her in March 2024 who not only made a diagnosis but started on an experimental regime of treatment for 12 months. In March 2025, I completed this treatment (known as triple therapy) and now have my life back and have been able to progress further in my career too. Words are not enough to thank Dr Kane but she offered a lifeline when there was none; and more importantly, her care, dedication and holistic approach has given me a new lease on life!
