Appointment with a Specialist GP

Our resident GP’s with a special interest in Long COVID are Dr Porter and  Dr Duncan.

Our In-Clinic General Practitioners with a special interest in Long Covid are experts in their fields. The offer compassionate, holistic care founded on a wealth of knowledge and true empathy from lived-in experience.

Dr Porter specialises in assessing and treating conditions that commonly occur in Long COVID including POTS, MCAS and hormonal disorders. She has a special interest in women’s health and prescribing hormone replacement therapy, as well as advice on pacing and holistic management of Long COVID symptoms.

Dr Duncan is a specialist in diagnosis and management of a wide range of Long COVID complications including POTS/dysautonomia, MCAS, fatigue management advice (physical and cognitive), myalgia, hormonal support if needed and migraine management in the context of Long Covid amongst others.

Consultations are virtual unless otherwise arranged. Consultations with GPs unfortunately cannot be provided for non-UK residents.

The new patient process is designed to be as thorough as possible. Many patients have been unwell for many years and have been under a number of different NHS and private healthcare services.

In order to provide a comprehensive assessment and report, your doctor requires all the relevant information.

You will receive a full report and bespoke management plan after your consultation, as well as private prescriptions for any new medications.

You will also be signposted to other members of the team as needed. Our specialist GPs meet with Dr Kane regularly as part of a multi-disciplinary team meeting, cases can be discussed with Dr Kane if her input is required. There is also the option of an internal referral to Dr Kane at a later date for a formal opinion.

We can also write support letters to agencies (e.g. for return to work, Blue Badge, PIP) when required.
