GI360

Comprehensive Gut Health Analysis

The GI360 Complete is an advanced diagnostic test that offers a detailed analysis of gut health using polymerase chain reaction (PCR), culture-based methods, and microscopy. It is designed to detect a wide range of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi, as well as assess digestive, inflammatory, and immune markers. This test is particularly valuable for individuals with chronic gastrointestinal symptoms, suspected microbiome imbalances, or systemic post-viral conditions such as Long COVID.

What the GI360 Complete Measures

  • Identification of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms (bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic)

  • Commensal microbiota analysis using DNA mapping

  • Evaluation of digestive function, including fat and carbohydrate breakdown and pancreatic elastase

  • Measurement of intestinal inflammation markers such as calprotectin and lactoferrin

  • Immune system indicators such as secretory IgA and lysozyme

  • Analysis of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), including butyrate

  • Beta-glucuronidase, a marker associated with detoxification and colon health

Who Should Consider This Test

This test is recommended for individuals experiencing persistent bloating, abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhoea, fatigue, food sensitivities, or signs of systemic inflammation. It supports the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal infections, dysbiosis, inflammatory bowel disease, autoimmune conditions, and post-viral syndromes.

Sample Collection Requirements

Patients must collect three separate stool samples on three different days. These can be collected consecutively or non-consecutively but must all be gathered within a seven-day period. The standard sample submission includes:

  • Three black-capped vials (one per day)

  • One yellow-capped vial

  • One white-capped vial

For shorter testing protocols (1-day or 2-day collection), the number of black vials submitted will vary accordingly.

Collection and Shipping Guidance

It is ideal to collect samples on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, then ship the complete set on Monday using the prepaid courier label provided. Samples should be sent no later than the Wednesday following your final collection. Delay in shipping may affect sample viability.

All instructions are included in the kit.

Turnaround Time

Typical laboratory processing time is 6 to 8 business days (excluding courier transit).

Optional Add-On Markers

Additional biomarkers can be selected when ordering the GI360 Complete test:

  • Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)

  • Zonulin (marker of intestinal permeability)

These optional markers provide further insights into gut integrity and potential contributing factors to systemic inflammation.
