I believe in making Recovery Focussed Therapy accessible, trauma informed and compassionate. My passion is to empower - even when the road to recovery feels uncertain.
What’s unique is the way I integrate psychotherapy, nervous-system regulation, clinical skills and breathwork to support both the mind and the body. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches, especially when it comes to complex, chronic, or trauma-related issues. My work is informed by evidence-based approaches and grounded in the understanding that people need practical support. I aim to build a toolbox of techniques tailored to each individual.
By blending recovery-focused psychotherapy with these tools, tools that assist nervous system regulation, I support people through the often messy, non-linear nature of healing. This includes navigating the challenges, loss, stress and grief that come with complex and frequently misunderstood health conditions.
I also have personal lived experience, both of long Covid and of caring for a child with it. This helps me bridge the gap between theory and real life, and deepens my empathy for those on the recovery journey.
Symptom Specialism:
Nadyne is a highly experienced Recovery Focussed Psychotherapist, Clinical Yoga Therapist and Advanced Breathing Coach with over five years of specialist experience in NHS/Private acute mental health services.
She supports people recovering from Long Covid, chronic fatigue, anxiety, trauma and nervous system dysregulation through an integrative, trauma-informed approach rooted in Recovery Focussed Therapy.
Nadyne combines clinical expertise with compassion and a whole-person focus with the understanding that trauma and chronic stress are not just psychological – but deeply embedded in the nervous system. Her work draws on somatic therapy, EFT, breathwork, mindfulness, creative approaches, and psychotherapy to support sustainable recovery.
With a background in Health Psychology, and lived experience of chronic fatigue and caring for a child with post-viral illness, Nadyne brings empathy, insight and real-world understanding to her work. She’s passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies, regain a sense of agency in their recovery, and build resilience and self-compassion.
Nadyne is co-author of Breathe, Rest, Recover (2024), a practical guide to breath, nervous system regulation, and recovery from chronic illness.
My Inspiration
For many years, I lived a high-speed, high-achieving life, working in the City, exercising hard, constantly busy. I prided myself on being able to keep all the plates spinning. But it wasn’t until I became unwell with Covid, during a stressful and emotionally challenging time, that I was forced to stop. For the first time, I experienced breathlessness, fatigue, and the deep fear and loneliness that can come with a long-term health condition.
This experience changed everything. It was the beginning of a long, humbling journey of recovery from Long Covid, and a deep re-evaluation of how I related to my body, my health, and my patterns of coping. It reconnected me with my own teenage experience of post-viral fatigue, and helped me truly understand, from the inside out, how trauma and chronic illness can shape our lives.
That lived experience, combined with my professional and clinical training continues to inspire my work in this area. I know what it’s like to feel like your body has betrayed you. And I also know it’s possible to build a new relationship with yourself and your health, grounded in compassion, care, and real rest.
Bringing Experience to patients
I bring a mix of clinical experience, specialist training, and lived understanding. I’ve worked for over five years in acute NHS mental health services, and I specialise in trauma-focussed therapy, nervous system regulation, and recovery from chronic health conditions like Long Covid, and CFS. But I also bring empathy, humour, and a deep understanding of what it’s like to feel stuck, frightened, and exhausted.
My clients often say that I “get it.” I know what it’s like to override your body’s signals, to keep pushing through, and to feel guilty about slowing down. But I also know the relief of being truly seen and heard, and having practical, supportive tools to navigate recovery at your own pace. That’s what I offer: a grounded, compassionate, science-informed space to support people as they journey towards a new version of themselves, one that often allows them to live a healthier, more empowered life.
My Passion
Because I know that healing is possible, and that people don’t need ‘fixing’ – they need understanding. For too long, I lived in a state of high alert, trying to outrun my own feelings and override my body. When I got sick, everything I used to rely on: exercise, busyness, pushing through, was taken away. It was the hardest and most transformative experience of my life.
Through that process, I learnt how to listen to my body instead of ignoring it. I learnt how to rest, how to breathe better, and how to meet myself with compassion rather than criticism. That changed everything, not just in how I live my life, but in how I support others.
I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with their own inner wisdom. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, fatigue, anxiety, or just feeling overwhelmed, I want you to know that your body isn’t broken. It’s wise. And with the right support, recovery can feel less lonely, less frightening, and more empowering than you might imagine.
