Adult Consultant-led clinic

A comprehensive assessment with Dr Kane providing patient-centred review and will work with patients to create a bespoke management plan.

The initial consultation is in-person and thereafter consultations are generally online. Consultations can be provided for non-UK residents but we do not prescribe outside of the UK.

The new patient process is designed to be as thorough as possible. Many patients have been unwell for many years and have been under a number of different NHS and private healthcare services. In order to provide a comprehensive assessment and report, your consultant requires all the relevant information.

Adult Consultant-led clinic Process

Please note: Variations to the Steps can be accommodated depending on individual circumstances.

Step 1
Completing the booking form

You will need to complete a booking form that requests some basic details so we can create a patient record on our system. We will also ask some questions so we can understand your specific needs to tailor your appointment and clinic experience.

The Booking form is here.

Step 2
Online questionnaire and pre-clinic specialist nurse consultation

You will receive a call to discuss a suitable time to have a pre-clinic consultation (50mins) with our specialist nurse Julie Taylor.

You will also be asked to complete an online questionnaire outlining details of your history, copies of previous tests and investigations, and what your hopes and expectations are of seeing Dr Kane.

During your pre-clinic consultation, Julie will go through your history and previous/current treatment in detail. You will be offered additional assessments or investigations in advance of seeing Dr Kane if indicated, or to work with multi-disciplinary team members in the run up to your appointment. Doing this in advance means that your appointment with Dr Kane can focus on clinical assessment and treatment.

Step 3
Clinic appointment with Dr Kane

You will be booked to have a 60 minute in-person consultation and clinical assessment with Dr Kane. You will receive a personalised treatment plan from Dr Kane and any required prescriptions. You will subsequently be sent a detailed report which can be shared with your GP and/or any other clinicians involved in your care.

Dr Kane will arrange appropriate follow-up with you at the end of your clinic appointment.
